Showcasing Connections Through Collections

Welcome to Ibali, the digital collections showcase of the University of Cape Town (UCT), hosted by UCT Libraries. We invite you to explore our textual and audio-visual materials that reflect the diverse topics of research at our university. The name Ibali comes from the isiXhosa word for "story". It expresses our hope that you experience many different stories while you explore our collections.

There are three different categories of showcase sites available on Ibali, representing:  collections held by the Library, collections developed for research projects by UCT departments, and collections curated independently by students and researchers.
