Mr Harvey was appointed as Medical Librarian in 1928
Mr Harvey assumed the new role as Medical Librarian from 1928 until his retirement in 1931.

First full-time University Librarian appointed
In 1920, the first full-time University Librarian, the Rev. G.F. Parker was appointed. He remained in the position until he's retirement in 1940.

Medical books and journal collections move to Medical School
In 1928, the Library's collection of medical books and journals were able to be moved into three rooms on the top floor of the Pathology Block at the UCT Medical School, known today as the Faculty of Health Sciences.
