Ons meen ook hier. Die lid Ar- is dan miskien te begryp soos Nama ǀari = 'auftrocknen (Wasser...)' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 14), opdroog, waarby die lid -na kan aansluit, bv. ╪na = 'austrocknen' (Rust 1960 DNW 62), die geheel ongeveer 'Uitdrogende lopie'. Hoe ook al, 'Drooge Rivier' is o.i. bedoel as die vorm wat uit Khoekhoens vertaal is.
