Cisiqua

Blommaert and Wiid 1937 VRV 18 19 At DG of Reenen's Zourivier OA: 'The Zourivier, the Cisiqua from J Hartogh's journal, flows in the Hoopvlei, about halfway between the present Bredasdorp and the Breede River ...', not confused with the Salt River at Cape Town etc. not. Hartogh says the Dutch name translates the inland name, but it is probably the case. Then it gives us a sign. The -qua is then too much as Ou-Cape -Ka for 'river', in Nama globalize toǃ (K) ab (Hott 430), and the Gisi- as 'salt', in Nama globalize to ǀ (k ) U-SI = 'salty, brackish', but it is uncertain.

Description
eng Blommaert and Wiid 1937 VRV 18 19 At DG of Reenen's Zourivier OA: 'The Zourivier, the Cisiqua from J Hartogh's journal, flows in the Hoopvlei, about halfway between the present Bredasdorp and the Breede River ...', not confused with the Salt River at Cape Town etc. not. Hartogh says the Dutch name translates the inland name, but it is probably the case.
