Dommeri

This name we met alone at Gordon, and without giving it a statement. The place is the rocky beach west of Classenpunt to about Hanglip. On the audio descending, one may look for a connection with another body part as the 'lip' of Hanglip, and then think of 'throat', Old Cape Domma, since 1691 recorded (Hott 335), in Nama Dommi (Rest 1960 DNW 34). Dom (-) is often i.v.m. Water used in the sense of export channel, slot etc. (cf. o.a. Ntodom (i) in th a ** 924-5).

(vgl. o.a. NUDOM(I) in TH A** 924-5).
