Kamma(Rivier)

The Kamma River originated west of the Attakwasberg and flow west until he is received by the Gourits River. Beutler 1752 and his party was here on April 6, also Swellengrebel at 3 Dec. 1776, but the name is not declared. Possibly the Khoekhoen referred to as the 'river', such as Old-Cape Kamma in the meaning of water, fountain, stream, river (see o.a. Hott 522-3 and elsewhere), cf. Nama ǀǀ Gam-. 'Kamma River' then wants as much as 'River River'. This comb should not be confused with the comb at 2916, the comb Namely where o.a. Paterson 1779 was (Forbes 1965 PTSA 90)

'Kammarivier' wil dan soveel se as 'Rivierrivier'. Paterson 1779 was (Forbes 1965 PTSA 90)
