Die spitskoppie tussen Keetmanshoop en Stampriet het 'n formasie wat die indruk wek dat daar 'n band horisontaal om horn le, of hy gespan is soos 'n koei wat gemelk gaan word. Met die bekende wisseling h- en n- word dit tans meestal gehoor as Nounaib, kyk Rust 1969. Ons kan Hauneib en Nouneib, -naib kortweg vertaal met 'Gespantou'.
