Also the name of a post office at the station and from the farms Baroe Kraal No. 1. Q. 12-15, No. 2 out. Q. 12-23, No. 3 out. Q. 12-22 and Baroe Bead Outspan. Q.18-15 (cf. Topo Cadastral Card 1960, Skin 3324 Port Elizabeth). These farms are situated side by side in the valley between the Little Winterberg in the north and the Wolwefonteinberg in the south, so it seems that the relevant plant species has occurred abundant in this valley. Where the component Baroe forms an ingredient of other farm names, it refers to the same plant type.
