Bikamma(Rivier)
A tributary of Gourits River only south of Oudtshoorn (map in VRV 12, and on 244 footnote 83 of Mossop: 'Now Called Stone River'.) Old-Cape BI = 'Milk', and Ou-Cape Kamma, in Nama ǀǀ Gami, = 'Water, River' (Hott. 382-3 and 430). The name probably comes from the whitish or crispy color of the river water or bed. APN 1951 54 contains another post office Bikamma falling under Steytlerville and a car bus stop on the Steytlerville-Willowmore route. If Mossop's identification is precisely [on K 3322], then it is no longer the same place as the Van Scher.
