Cunnycamma, Ook Kuunicamma
The 'Camma, usually in Old Cape Kamma, at Gordon with a suction sound, is like Nama ǀǀ Gami = 'Water, River'. The 'Cunny is perhaps in connection with Nama Ikuni [Ikhuni] = 'Wenden' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 257), which also corresponds to the second return. The river largely turns to the District Oudtshoorn and flows about 16 km south of Calitzdorp on K 3321 DA from the East in the Gourits River. The old and now disappeared name 'turn-water river' apparently hit the poats than on the bucks.

Die rivier wend horn grootliks deur die distrik Oudtshoorn en vloei ongeveer 16 km suid van Calitzdorp op K 3321 DA vanuit die ooste in die Gouritsrivier. Die ou en nou verdwene naam 'Draaiwaterrivier' slaan blykbaar eerder op die kolke as op die bogte.
