Ons verklaar die lid nau- anders, kyk by NAKEUIS en NADOW, om aan te sluit by die betekenis van die woord wat daar uitdruklik genoem word as 'wit' en nie as 'grys' nie. Naudau is ’n wisseluitspraak by Gordon se Nadow alw. van dieselfde pleknaam, en beteken Witkloof of Blinkkloof Hewer as Gryskloof. Mossop het meer oor die lokalisering van hierdie plek in VRV 12 257. Skead CJ 1973 Gazetteer 247 vermoed dat Naudau gelyk te stel is met die huidige plaas 'Waterkloof' op K 3323 AD, distrik Willowmore. Die plaas is nie in die Swartberge nie - k NADOW.
