NGAI is interfacing Ghaap Alw., But is not the same place as Ghaap 2823. Smith's Ngaapkop, 'One of the Hills Near Matjiesfontein', was recorded on the topographical series 1973 sheet 3320 Ladismith as 'Ghaapkop', about 6 km northeast of Matjiesfontein. There is, by the way, another 'Ghaapkop' 22 km Western West of Matjiesfontein indicating the (earlier) wide spread of this plant species.
