Noegareb

Pettman does not document his data, and his ǀ Gareb appears in Rust 1960 DNW 10 with another suction yarn (viz. Creenley operation. It goes here on the mountain on K 3318 AA and BA, now spelled 'Swartberg', and the farm Swartberg No 1934-46-2365 there, both now in the district Malmesbury located north of Moorreesburg (cf. Topo Cadastral Series 1969 Skin 3318 Cape Town). All these names are in first instance n.a.v. The old inland name noise. The starting point will be the mountain, as is also the -B of the old name, the Masc. Sing, who applied as index for mountain names. Possible in the second member, viz. -Gearb, to see the defacearized LAARB, cf. HOTT 219 S.V. Stor V. Then Swartberg is the literal translation of noise - ╪NUǃ Are-B.
