Aap(Sekloof)
The 'Makekekloof' is a non-perennial river that rises just south of 'Boesmankop' and then walks around eastwards to flow with the 'Steenkamps River'. The 'Makekekloof' correlates exactly with the corresponding topographical map of 1973's 'AB Goof'. This AB is not a monkey or otherwise expressed. The monkey is not an AB. We believe 'monkey' and 'AB' are both people's maturity adaptations of a Khoekhoense word. The Khoekhoian word is = Bab = 'Riet' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 32). It can determine us based on the toponimic core group there. 'Aapsekloof' originates on the farm 'Rietpoort' No. Q. 13-20. To the south of and adjacent to 'Rietpoort' is 'Riethoek' No 8353/1951. On the mentioned topographical map here also the name 'Ourite'. We believe that the names of the topographical and linguistic conjunction Adaptations of the same word is.
