Gordon has overlooked overlooking here and the Spot Paint River called Oebis (River). Oribi is the usual English spelling of the Ourbia Ourebi, the scientific name is derived from Khoekhens. For early recordings cf. o.a. HOTT S.V. Other farm names with oribi as ingredient is O.A. 'Oribi Dale' Geo. 34-9 in Dist. Maclear (roughly between Elliot and Umtata) and 'Oribe' KWT Q. 45-14, Dist.
