On the advocacy of a member of the PNC (as evidenced by the notes on the questionnaire), the established Spelling Nadouwsberg is changed to Nar-Dousberg to equalize the spelling of the mountain east of Graaff-Reinet to Nardousberg south of Vanrhynsdorp (maybe Because the member knows the one and the other?) On the map scale 1:50 000 (Series SA 1974 Skin 3224 BB Licture) are the two narrow farms that together form a hook and northwestern of Nadouwsberg (on this map 'Nardousberg ') Le, entered as registered, viz. As 'Nadouw' 248 and 249. About the meaning of Nadouw and Nadouwsberg (pnk's Nardousberg) we have no certainty. Cfg. Also, the sound related nadow and Naudau in th a ** 836 and 875 respectively.
