Kambro(Kop), Kambro(Rivier)
The Kambro River, spelled at the corresponding Topo Cadastral Card 1967 'Kambros River', originates in one spheran on the hanging of Kambrokop and flows eastwards to water north of Nelspoort and south of the Sylin Ganna in the Salt River. We consider it that Kambrokop and Kambro (OS) river thanks to the Kamb (a) roplants belonging to the Asclepiadaceae species, o.a. The Brachystelma, Fockeea and PachyPodaSootte. (Smith CA 1966 CNSAP 272). Latrobe recorded the name at about 1810 as 'Kambro' (ibid.) We are indirectly supported by the place name Ganna (mentioned above), another Khoekhoian plant name, usually for a Solsola species (Smith 218). Cfg. also th a * 372-373.
