Gowaas(Drif)

Maybe at ╪hoa = blue? And -aa-S then atǃ A- = River, with -s Locativating? 'Vaal' is in Nama ǀ hai; 'Yellow' is in Kora ǀ JCHAI (HOTT 273) that does not join one at Gowa. [Perhaps 'dull' is the color of the dunes, ǀ Gowa in Nama, and the good translation actually 'VaalUindrif'? If Gordon's translation is not 'Vale', but 'false', then like Nama╪kawa-?] However, we believe that Gordon did not write 'false', but 'Vale', in the sense of 'gray' or 'gray-black', such as Namaǃ Noa, 'Grau Werden', Cor. ǃ Noa, 'Grau' (Hott 475 S.V. Black III). That G-with N- can alternate, is common in Old Cape; cfg. 27. (2) (c) In Hott 180 and 5 d 4. The lock-on locates a water location, here the drift.

Description
eng Maybe at ╪hoa = blue? And -aa-S then atǃ A- = River, with -s Locativating? 'Vaal' is in Nama ǀ hai; 'Yellow' is in Kora ǀ JCHAI (HOTT 273) that does not join one at Gowa. afr Miskien by ╪hoa = blou? 27. (2) (c) in HOTT 180 en 5 D 4. Die slot -s lokativeer ’n waterplek, hier die drif.
