The census map places its farm name Konaquas Mountain exactly where Kackie Mountain occurs as mountain name today. It is just above the census card's 'Konaquas Mountain' that is a mountain, today the Koeivleiberg CD Doring Bay, Scale 1:50 000, Topographic Series 1965. And on a 1950 card, it is snack, read: Knarks. We consider snatching as the current people's ethimological result that originated from or beside the ranges of snacks - Canagas and canacas, means 'Coeivlei', as detailed, explained under Konakwas (mountain (s)). So not an Afrikaans word in the reduction form in this composition. It is deformed from Khoekhens to make it meaningful, or to give it a poetic evocation that feeds its own life, separate from the original appointment Store toponsimies now distinguishable from his semantic mother Ats Koeivlei and Canagas.
