On the Topo Cadastral Series 1966 Skin 3118 Calvinia is the name of the series as 'call me not mountains'. According to the corresponding topographical map 1968, 'rebu-nonberg' is the northern point of it. It will be remembered that 'Rebu- Not 'considered to be a sound solning of' call you '. It is an interesting case where a well-known word group is changed to an unknown name - a kind of Tru-Volksetimology.

In TH A** 694-695 het ons Gordon se verklaring van 'Kereteberg of Roep Niet' aangegee en dit taalkundig gemotiveer. Vir hierdie verklaring vind ons nou ook topografiese steun. Op die Topo-kadastrale reeks 1966 vel 3118 Calvinia word die naam van die reeks aangegee as 'Roep My Nie Berge'. Volgens die ooreenstemmende Topografiese kaart 1968 is 'Rebu- nieberg' die noordelike Spits daarvan. Daar sal onthou word dat 'Rebu- nie' beskou is as ’n klanknabootsing van 'Roep jou nie'. Dit is 'n interes- sante geval waar ’n bekende woordgroep tot 'n onbekende naam verander word - 'n soort van tru-volksetimologie.
