Clarifying half should be mentioned that it is about the farm Karas alias Welcome to 3018 AC, to the north-western corner to which Annex Karas No. Nam. Q. 10-14 border. The farm Karas No. Nam. Q. 10-6 on 2918 CB is not now involved. The lock -s. Some of the Karas under discussion usually locates a source or fountain, which is also likely to be the starting point of the name. Because the -s as genus in Nama is also singular (female), it may have made the thought of our spokesman that it indicates 'one quiver tree'. However, it doesn't have to be the case.

Duidelikheids- halwe moet genoem word dat dit hier gaan oor die plaas Karas alias Welkom op 3018 AC, aan die noordwestelike hoek waaraan Annex Karas nr Nam. Q. 10-14 grens. Die plaas Karas nr Nam. Q. 10-6 op 2918 CB is nie nou ter sprake nie. Die slot -s. van die Karas onder bespreking lokativeer gewoonlik ’n bron of fontein wat ook hier waarskynlik die beginpunt van die naam was. Omdat die -s as genus in Nama ook enkelvoud is (vrou- lik), het dit moontlik by ons segsman die gedagte laat ontstaan dat dit be- paaldelik 'Een Kokerboom' aandui. Dit hoef egter nie die geval te wees nie.
