Die slotlid van die naam Stilweitkoeroe, nl. -tkoeroe, is dan soos Nama ǀǀguru- = 'Quarz, Kieselgrund. Marmor' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 143). Die t- van tkoeroe stel die suigkonsonant voor. Die hibridiese naam is dus saam- gestel uit stil + wei + tkoeroe. Dit geld hier ’n kop op die plaas 'Groot Berg' nr. Clw. Q. 7-36, Namakwaland, ook die naam van 'n berg, albei noordwes van Garies geleë.
