Noheep
NoHeep' is situated between 'Kouberg' and 'Moster's head', on the road of Erukoep to gamep. Just east of Noheep is 'Christmas forest', and the farm 'Kersbosch Fountain' No. Nam. Q. 1-28 extends north and east. It seems that 'nuheep', 'Christmas' and 'Kersbosch (Fountain)' form a toponous core group, because besides the topographical connection there may also be a linguistic agreement. The Kersbos (Sie) is according to Smith CA 1966 CNSAP 286 a Sarcocaulon SP. Watt & Breyer Bright 1932 MPPSA 81-82 gives the Sarcocaulon Burmannii ǀ Now - ǀ Now [Nau- ǀ Nau] as Khoekhoen name, cf. HOTT 336. If the first member of NoHeep, viz. 'No-', as the ' Christmas Bosch 'Possibly a translation of noheep. And we placed our rusty key in the right keyhole.

'No-', soos die 'ǀnou-' is, en die lid '-heep' soos Nama heib of heip [hai-] = bos, 'Busch', is (Rust 1960 DNW 13), dan is 'Kersbos/Kers- bosch' moontlik 'n vertaling van Noheep. en het ons ons geroeste sleutel in die regte sleutelgat geplaas.
