It correlates exactly with the current farm 'Droge Dam' No.Q.Q. 6-1, also linguistically. Nama ǀ Oro = dry, 'Duirr' (cf. Rest 1960 DNW 15 which also means Koro here). The member 'Dam' of 'dry dam' is thought - in the area, in fact, many dams or rather pans, and on the farm are a pan subscribed to the Topoastral Card (Series 1966 Skin 2922 Prieska). That name is old, evidenced by his Dutch form. 'DROGE DAM' is T.O.V. His first member translated directly from the old Khoekhound.

Dat die naam oud is, blyk uit sy Nederlandse vorm. 'Droge Dam' is t.o.v. sy eerste lid regstreeks uit die ou Khoekhoens vertaal.
