afr Topografies doen 'n ander moontlikheid horn nou ook voor. Op die Topografiese reeks 1975 vel 2918 Pofadder word op 2918 DD die naam 'T'Au- seep' aangegee met net daarbokant 'Dik-Aar'. 'Dik' is in Nama o.a. 11ou- [ 11au-] (Rust 1960 D[NW 14) wat presies met die eerste lid van die pleknaam, nl. T’Ou- of T’Au-, ooreenstem; die T’- stel die klapklank voor. Die tweede lid, -seep, is die lokatiefmorfeem -se- plus die masc. sing, uit- gang -b wat gewoon is by langerige pleksoorte soos (hier) 'n aar; vir wisse- ling van -b- en -p vgl. TH A* 42 by 5 A 1. Indien dit juis is, is Dik-Aar die vertaling van T’Auseep; die verskynsel dat die Afrikaanse komponent van ’n naamgroep die vertaling van die Khoekhoense komponent is, het ons al meermale teegekom.
