Oubipkop' is op die plaas 'T’Oubep' nr Ken. Q. 2-19. distrik Kenhardt. Op die ooreenstemmende Topografiese kaart 1974 kom die naam voor as 'T’Oubeepkop.' By die lid 'Oubip-' ontbreek die suigkonsonant wat in die ander name van die toponimiese groep weergegee word met T'. Die betekenis is egter dieselfde, nl. 'Sout-', vgl. + TOUBEP, TOUBEEP.
