Also called the 'stinkwitgatboomplek', at Xaubbe's, again with a hard g-sound; And finally, it is thought of Namaǃ Soon-b [ǃ Gau-] = 'Wilder Hund' (Rest 1960 DNW 32). Ordree is soundly good, the first two are the best, because of the hard G-, and maybe we should give preference to the local tradition, although we are different.

Hierdie Goubeespan is wel dieselfde woord wat ons in GOUBEES kry. Daar is dit verklaar as '(Boesm)Misplek', by Nama xou-b [xau-b] = drek, mis, d.w.s. met ’n harde g-klank, wat die naam dan ook met die 'oorlewering' laat ooreenstem. Ook is genoem die 'Stinkwitgatboomplek', by xaube-s, weer met ’n harde g-klank; en hier ten slotte word gedink aan Nama ǃgou-b [ǃgau-] = 'wilder Hund' (Rust 1960 DNW 32). Aldrie is klankmatig goed, die eerste twee is die beste, vanweë die harde g-, en miskien moet ons die voorkeur aan die plaaslike tradisie gee, hoewel ons anders oop staan.
