The ground word is like Nama Ikhoro- = 'Der Limestein' (Rust 1960 DNW 34), the -ga- like Nama -Xa- for 'many, rich in', and the VR. Ekv. -S says it ' A fountain name can be, the whole: 'Fountain where many limestone appears', short 'Kalkfontein'.
