On the topographical series 1975 sheet 2918 Pofadder is the place entered as 'T'kouroes', southeast of Pella on the way to Pofadder. There are different places on farms that bear the name for the phenomenon. m.a.w. which is used unomandically very local. So Cornelissen Ha 1978 Boer Questionnaire O.A. From a place on Koekfontein 2917 BC who calls them 'Kouroe' and says ' s lokativeer, and it appears to further match of Nama Tkhuru- in sound and 11garu- in use, the first for a wateraar, the second for a 'tiefe Naturzis- internal' set in stone '(Schultze 1904-5 ANUK 162).

Op die Topografiese reeks 1975 vel 2918 Pofadder is die plek ingeskryf as 'T’Kouroes', suidoos van Pella op pad na Pofadder. Daar is verskillende plekke op plase wat vir die verskynsel die naam dra. m.a.w. wat onomas- ties baie lokaal gebruik word. So skryf Cornelissen HA 1978 Boer Vraelys o.a. van ’n plekkie op Kookfontein 2917 BC wat hulle 'Kouroe' noem en se 'Dit beteken ‘Klipgate’. Daar is baie klipgate, party is manshoogte diep'. Die T'- is vir 'n suigkonsonant, die vr. ekv. -s lokativeer, en dit skyn of dit verder ooreenstem van Nama Tkhuru- in klank en met 11garu- in toepassing, die eerste vir ’n wateraar, die tweede vir ’n 'tiefe Naturzis- terne' in klip„ (Schultze 1904-5 ANUK 162).
