We are still unconvincing, especially about the unusual onomrastic motive. Do not hide in the Member -'kyp the Nama Word for 'mountain', viz. ǀ (k) UI-B? Many other starting points are also possible.

Die Topografiese reeks 1974 vel 2916 Springbok gee die berg aan as 1056 meter bo seespieel en met die landmetersbaken nr 20 daarop. Die hoe kommas voor die lettergrepe dui suigkonsonante aan. Blykbaar knoop die geraadpleegde 'bewoners' die eerste lid aan Nama ǃgu = gaan. Ons is nog onoortuig, veral oor die ongewone onomastiese motief. Skuil in die lid -‘kyp nie die Namawoord vir 'berg' nie, nl. ǀ(k)ui-b? Ook baie ander aanknopingspunte is moontlik.
