Sing, more definitely to indicate a fountain. Goudas is then an exchange form from Gungdas, Gudas and Gutas, cf. TH A * 488 S.V. Gutas

Dit stem goed ooreen met die eerste lid van Goudas soos deur mnr De Klerk aangegee, nl. ǀGou-. Die tweede lid, -da-, is miskien ’n lokatiefmorfeem, die slot -s fern. sing, meer bepaaldelik om 'n-fontein aan te dui. Goudas is dan ’n wisselvorm van Gungdas, Gudas en Gutas, vgl. TH A* 488 s.v.
