On topographical grounds, another possibility also does. On the Topo-Kaa Drader series 1962 Skin 2822 Postmasburg is 'Kheis' given as Place No Hay. Q. 22-18, about 10 km from Groblershoop. It is located just north of the elbow there from the Orange River and border on it. On his north-week, Kheis is bordered for his full length by 'Rooisand' no. Q. 3-39. 'Sand' is in Nama 11kae- [11khae] (Rest 1960 DNW 51) that sounds soundly similar to the name Kheis. The lock-on of Kheis is the gene sign of the Fern. Sing. Linguistically and topographically is a connection between Kheis and (red) sand therefore possible
