Aragauros
A source that is right west of Velloorsdrift Le, not farm name. The 'laundry' is like Nama ǀ Au- = fountain, -ro-diminutiefformans, with the Fern. Sing, -s as lokativering, therefore 'fountain', surrounded by whitish ticklets, apparently in fine pieces, hence the alternative name of Witsand, to suspicion, based on a color impression. Whitezand is still in the AdressBuch 1939 at this place, but does not appear in the farm notices of the moment, not on the Card 1972 of the Surveyor-General. There is really little doubt that Araag (a) auros was the naman of the earlier Witzand. The ARA is then the defacearized form of ǀǀ Kara, the -exa- = Many, so the whole about 'gravel fountain', to think of quarters gills, many (-exa), and whitish.
