Here are two farms with the name going out on -P (Nam.q.7-18 on K 2818 DC and adjacent to K 2918 BA), and more south-west is another farm with the same name but it goes out on -s (NAM.Q.6-11 on K 3017 AD). They do mean the same. Strangely that Schultze does not give the meaning. KR. The tree trunk (s) had to have forced for some reason to have toponimically distinguishing value. Perhaps a stronger contender is the statement like by Naroos. nl. 'Wildcatwater'.

Hier is twee plase met die naam wat uitgaan op -p (Nam.Q.7-18 op K 2818 DC en aangrensend op K 2918 BA), en meer suidweswaarts is nog ’n plaas met dieselfde naam maar dit gaan uit op -s (Nam.Q.6-11 op K 3017 AD). Hulle beteken wel dieselfde. Vreemd dat Schultze nie die betekenis aangee nie. Kr.- R. 1969 NW 1974 282 se inskrywing by Inaru-s is 'der Schwarzebenholz- baum', sowel Krenz FK 1974 as Boois J 1974 wys in hulle aantekening hierby dat ǃnaru- gewoon ook net ’n 'boomstomp' is. Die boomstomp(e) moes om een of ander rede opgeval het om toponimies onderskeidende waarde te gehad het. Miskien is 'n sterker aanspraakmaker die verklaring soos by NAROES. nl. 'Wildekatwater'.
