Nunieabs/Nunig(H)Abs (Se Berge)
Mountains situated on the southern bank of the Orange River, and north of Honniams. The entries are not very clear in the conclusion portion, possibly the -abs read as -Ams (as we think), so the mountain name is a rapid ruling of the densely held HONNIAMS. The first component is with little doubt like Nama ǀ Huni, the white hole tree, cf. Houniams. But if the closing portion is equal to -Gab (s), then it is exchange ruling of the same word as a Nunighab (river), for meaning and change of nuni and (ǀ) Huni.

Berge geleë aan die suidelike oewer van die Oranjerivier, en noord van Houniams. Die inskrywings is nie baie duidelik wat betref die slotgedeelte nie, moontlik is die -abs te lees as -ams (soos ons meen), sodat die bergnaam ’n wisseluitspraak is van die digbygeleë Houniams. Die eerste komponent is met weinig twyfel soos Nama ǀhuni-, die witgatboom, vgl. HOUNIAMS. Maar indien die slotgedeelte gelyk is aan -gab(s), dan is dit wisseluitspraak van dieselfde woord as NUNIGHAB(RIVIER) alwaar, vir betekenis en wisseling van nuni en (ǀ)huni.
