It is apparently an alternative or at least an old and forgotten name of Alouriesfontein, spelled by Alexander 1936 Edia 1 150 (and also on his map) as Ahuries, but not declared. We also have no help concerning the meaning of this Gabis.

Dit is klaarblyklik ’n alternatiewe of altans ’n ou en vergete naam van Aloeriesfontein, deur Alexander 1936 EDIA 1 150 (en ook op sy kaart) gespel as Ahuries, maar nie verklaar nie. Ons het ook geen hulp aangaande die betekenis van hierdie Gabis nie.
