'Platberg' does translate the Khoekhozen name that then, we think, like Nama Thawa- = 'Platt' (Rust 1960 dnw 48) will be, with the change -b and -w- what is normal, and the change -ee change - and -a- what also frequent

Die ou name Tn.Abeep (=EHaweb naas =PHawab) en sy vertaling in Afrikaans het albei verdwyn en is vervang deur die huidige Grootberg.
