We are partial to a statement that selects to the Foundationǃ Nei-B = Giraffe, orǃ Nei-S, for the -mare, thus the 'place (spirit) or plain of the giraffe'. The exit can be equated with SE-B = 'Kahle Fläche' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 344), and the -S is then locating. It is precisely in this environment that they have found giraffes, of which Gordon is in his drawing: 'Camelopardalis, in Hottentots Neib ... called'. Whether Forbes's identification, 'Probably Nancep', is the same name, we do not know. Look naping.
