Ook so by Pettman 1931 SAPN 137, waarskynlik ontleen aan Kroenlein, en desgelyks in Kr.-R. 1969 NW 42. Volgens die reels van die PNK word die x- geskryf ch-, nl. in Nama xami, 'leeu'. Die tweede lid is ǀǀga-s of -b, 'dors'. Dit is goed dat Kroenlein hier so duidelik was, anders sou mens die slotkom- ponent patroonmatiger wou vertaal het met ╪ga-b = kloof, dus Chamgab verstaan het as 'leeukloof’, volgens Aantekening Krenz FK 1974.
