Nytas
This is a game form of Cnydas as discussed in th a * 289, where it was declared 'with the Ashaai throw', according to Engelbrecht SJ 1925. What is now added is a reinforcing fact. North of the large farms Cnydas, also on either side of the Molopo River, lay out the sub-processed farms 'Slap East' and 'T. West '. On Veillet's card is above Cnydas and Nytas a 'Head' where the farms did get their name. 'Suit' is undoubtedly an attempt to translate the inland name, spelled Cnydas and NYTAS, after it looks to us. The starting point was the cup of 880 meters high with land surveyor No. 39 there Played what was written after 'striking', if 'strikes' is like at Mr Engelbrecht, viz. throwing with ashes. The area around the cup then got the all common name, ie the complex farms ' Striker West 'at 2820 AD and' T. East 'on BC, named in Afrikaans, and south of' Cnydas West 'and' C. East ', with the same name in Khoekhens. The C- is to understand as the tongue , the -ny-well as Nama (╪) now = 'Schlagen' (Rust 1960 DNW 53), in the sense of strike, hit, kill, or Nama ╪nou- + Nui = '(mit schlagen) hinaw .-R. 1969 NW 302). The suspicion is that we have the usual pattern of doubles that (in this case) translate the Afrikaans the old inland name, and that they survive.
