Uhabis

The fountain was an important rest and excitement point, and a connection point when the Reichspost was also introduced here in 1895. The name occurs repeatedly, with or without the marking of the -A, at missionaries who have developed an ear for more accurate version, always hurry with postsaling. We could have quoted enough examples, cf. e.g. Wandres 1895 QUELEN 9 123, 133 ETC. PNK's spokesman apparently goes out of U- ǀ hao = 'ZUSAMMEN- brings', but we see no reason against Kreenley's distraction, 'Habe- Quelle', with foundation Nama u-ha = HE, (Rest 1960 DNW 29 ). The -bis is placemend.
