Geigoub

Harris apparently wanted to indicate a suction consonant before the first member: Interestingly, Lichtenstein 1805 also observed it under the Korana (Hott 291). Pettman connects the second component with ǀ Hou-B = Pensvet, but it can be just as good, if not better, be knotted to Goub, Nama for 'fat', at Meinhof Kouchb, for 'Nicht Geschmolzenes Fett', in Korana ( Hott 499), the dialect where the pegers heard the name. The old name is still living alone in translated form.
