Aunas
Vipert's Nasalǃ A In the second member is probably printing error. Veillet's 'Village' is a site or transfer. Literal translation is 'Dassage colony' or 'dassroom'. Look at AUNAS 2417. These statements are based on the writing of Hahn, there is also another analysis of the name than this, cf. Lemma Ouchas. The native name also became disused here in his nama shape, but was preserved in his Afrikaans form Daspelontein (Dassie- in the singular), Farm No 87, Dist. Keetmanshoop, located at the eastern traffic road between the town and the south.

Kiepert se nasale ǃa in die tweede lid is waarskynlik drukfout. Veillet se 'village' is ’n werf of oorstaning. letterlike vertaling is 'Dassiekolonie' of 'Dassieplek'. Kyk hiervoor verder by AUNAS 2417.
