Simply on the sound, we would tend to connect the name with Namaǃ ... Guwu = Round (Rest 1960 DNW 51). This suspicion also finds topographical support. East of Goge Goeboe and Guwu Guuwupan is the farm 'Rondepan' No 10444/1956 on 2721 AC and on it the pan 'Ron-depan'. The two places are too far apart for the Khoekhoen and Afrikaans names to refer to the same (geographical) badge, but it is quite possible that the naming of the smaller round team and the farm on which it lies could have been influenced by The Older Khoekhoense name.
