Klipoptel does not yet occur in our lists as a farm name. On SWA series 1974 sheet 2718 Grainau appears as a site and fountain name on a footpath on the farm Handas No. 273, eastern the Groot-Karasberg, district Karasburg. Handas does not appear on the Krikriekarte 1904, nor at Hahn Th 1879, well on the DSWA series 1911 Blatt 29 as a farm with boundaries. We can add a linguistically nothing to what we have given seglides. As we understand, Uibarakaus was an area that included both places, viz. Handas and stone, and that the latter is the translation of the inclusive name.

Klipoptel kom nog nie in ons lyste as plaasnaam voor nie. Op SWA-reeks 1974 vel 2718 Griinau verskyn dit as ’n werf en fonteinnaam aan 'n voet- pad op die plaas Hangas nr 273, oostelik van die Groot-Karasberge, distrik Karasburg. Hangas verskyn nie op die Kriegskarte 1904 nie, ook nie by Hahn Th 1879 nie, wel op die DSWA-reeks 1911 Blatt 29 as plaas met grense aangedui. Ons kan taalkundig niks voeg by wat ons segsliede gegee het nie. Soos ons dit verstaan, was Uibarakaus ’n gebied wat albei plekke ingesluit het, nl. Hangas en Klipoptel, en dat laasgenoemde die vertaling van die insluitende naam is.
