Dit was sy antwoord op ons vraag of daar plekke is wat vroeër Namaname gehad het maar wat nou vervang of vertaal is. ╪Nu = swart, en ǃhommi = 'der Berg' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 306 en 191 resp.), letterlik 'Swartberg' of 'Swartkop', in die huidige naam van Swartpunt te verstaan as 'Swartberg- punt'. In feite is dit nog ’n vertaling. Swartpunt is die naam van plaas nr 74 wat 'n groot deel van die 'Rekvlakte' insluit. Dit is in die distrik liide- ritz en goed suidoos van die 'Bucht'.
