Ons het hierdie vorm net op die Kriegskarte gevind. Dit le oos van die huidige Swartbaas-Ost 285 en op die huidige plaas Rotflur 272. Dit kan ’n miswysing wees vir KOICHAS wat nie op 2719 BB aangegee is nie. maar suideliker op 2719 BC. Groter is o.i. die waarskynlikheid dat Kooigas korrek gesitueer is, trouens die aanwysings op die Kriegskarte is voorbeel- dig goed. Kooigas is dan die meer volkse uitspraak van Koichas en albei het dieselfde betekenis, nl. van die 'Fontein/bron (hier bepaaldelik aange- dui met die fern. sing, -s) waar daar baie (-xa-, in die naam gespel -ga-) loogbosse (=bkhoe) staan'. Die lid Kooi- mag seifs 'n volksetimologiese aanpassing wees van die ╪khoe- in Tkhoebosse.
