eng It is farm No. 74; It borders Kuchanas located west of it. Generally, money here was said about the location of the neighboring farm and the many thorn trees. We believe this is just an exchange of Kuchanas, and therefore means the 'thorn-tree-rich place', or the 'thorny place', nav the thorn trees there are 'plates', at least, cf. Cutting Mr Christian Marcus at Kuchanas .

Ons meen dit is net ’n wisselvorm van KUCHANAS, en beteken dus die 'Doringboomryke plek', of die 'Doringrige plek', n.a.v. die doringbome daar waarvan daar 'plate' is, altans was, vgl. mededeling van mnr Christian Marcus by Kuchanas.
