eng It is the name of farm No. 90, north of Grizinu and located between the Great and the Little Karas Mountains, west of the Great tar road. According to Smith 1966, the diver is a Grielum Sp., Fam. Die lid -xabi- = plek, of anders is dit saamgestel uit -xa- = baie, + bi- as lokatief en die sing. fern, -s wat miskien aandui dat die beginpunt van die plaasnaam ’n fontein of drinkplek was. Mnr J Boois 1979 Taalassistent se in ’n Aantekening hierby dat die lid -xabis 'vir my klink soos 'n sametrekking van xa-aibes, ╪ Abuxa-aibes is die ‘Plek waarop ╪abub so welig groei’.' Die 'Plek (xabi-, en bepaaldelik die plek waar daar ’n fontein was) waar die duikerwortel (T=awu-) aangetref is/waar baie (-xa-) duikerwortels is'.
