Gabasis(-Ost), Gabasis(-West)
This area between the Klein-Karas Mountains and the Fish River is rich in the Igaba, or alternating -b andw- (cf. th a * 43 under 5 b 1),ǃ Gawa Forest, The 'Black Dorn' or Catophractes Alexandri (Smith 1966 CNSAP 605). The Old and Great Farm Gawachab No 114 means 'Rich in the Igawabos'. It is located south of Seehea at the main rail, with the eponymous station on it. And at subdivision adjacent eastern Gawachab is the farms Gabasis-West No 112 and -ost No. 116. This Gaba is exchange ruling of Igawa, the -Si- is locative morpheme, the -s (Fern, singing.)
